The TV anime series Steins;Gate was created by studio White Fox, based on the non-ero visual novel Steins;Gate, originally developed by the Japanese studios 5pb. and Nitroplus and released in 2009, as a "hypothetical science adventure" game. The story takes place in Tokyo's Akihabara district, one year after the events of Chaos;Head - the game's prequel of sorts from 2008, which has also received an anime version. An unaired episode, titled "Oukoubakko no Poriomania" (Rampant Poriomania) was included on the 9th and final Blu-ray / DVD volume of Steins;Gate, on February 22, 2012.
