The 20-minutes long OVA episode Highschool of the Dead: Drifters of the Dead is bundled in Blu-ray format with the limited edition Volume 7 of Daisuke Satou and Shoji Sato's manga Highschool of the Dead, on which studio Madhouse's anime adaptation is based. In the original story, the world is overtaken by a deadly disease that turns humans into zombies. In Japan, several students of Fujimi High School, and the school nurse, band together to survive the present apocalypse. The story follows Takashi Komuro, one of the students who survived in the initial outbreak. (based on Wikipedia synopsis)

There won't be a season 2 any time soon, considering the time it takes just to release a chapter of the manga.

Good Anime and Manga but its a shame that the anime had to die off so quickly in such a short time.

However, im glad that they did make an anime adaption to it because usually some companies don't make an anime adaption and just leave it as a Manga. One of my friends said they have been waiting for this anime to arrive for soooo long.

I'm happy in all respects but its a anime series so its gotta end sooner or later.

It will be good if they just keep making OVA's of it from the Manga as stated above.
