(or simply AnoHana) is an original project created by studio A-1 Pictures, as a slice-of-life anime about six childhood friends who grew apart in high school. One of them is Jintan, now a shut-in. He gets a request to fulfill a wish for Menma, the only one of their friends to have stayed the same over the years. In order to grant her wish, he will have to find and reunite their old friends. It also has a very heavy emotional side to it, as AnoHana explores how 5 friends cope with the death of their own. It unravels their feelings, and somewhat your own. You'll really like it if you take the time to watch AnoHana. |
