The TV anime series Myself; Yourself was adapted by studio Dogakobo, based on a light novel written by Takumi Nakazawa and illustrated by Wadapen, which also spawned a PS2 visual novel game released by Yeti that same year - just before the anime's final episode aired at the end of 2007. The story's protagonist Sana Hidaka returns to his quiet, rural hometown after 5 years of living in Tokyo. On a detour to his apartments, he notices a girl in a shrine maiden outfit watching him when he visits the shrine. He finds out, the next day at school, that this girl is actually Nanaka Yatsushiro, his old childhood friend whom he gave a bracelet to before he left, that she still wears, even to this day. Life is what's ahead of him, so he needs to jump over the gap between his memories and the reality in front of his eyes and move on.
