The TV anime series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion was created by studio Sunrise, with original character designs by Clamp. The story is a military drama with intricate plot lines and robotic action, about the titular "black prince" Lelouch and his journey to overthrow the totalitarian regime of the Holy Empire of Britannia that has conquered Japan - now only known as Area 11. Driven by the fiery ambition in his heart, he will stop at nothing to achieve his goal. He obtains the power of the "Geass" and decides to use that power for the sake of his sister Nunnally, and to build a world based on his ideals.
