The 2006 anime film Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, or simply Tokikake) was adapted by Madhouse Studios, based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's classic novel from the mid 1960s, about a girl who accidentally acquires the ability to travel through time. The story has inspired several live-action movies and TV dramas, with the most recent one being a 2010 live-action film (whose lead character is actually the daughter of the novel's original heroine Kazuko, and is once again voiced by Riisa Naka from the 2006 anime film).
