The TV anime series Natsume Yuujinchou is created by studio Brains Base, based on Yuki Midorikawa's shoujo ghost-story manga about a boy who can see ghosts, and some "Book of Friends" inherited from his grandmother to trap said ghosts. As one ghost after another shows up, the boy Natsume tries to release or help them - even while many of them seek vengeance on him.
