Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When Seagulls Cry) is the first in what may well become another excellent horror anime series, based on the doujin visual novels by 07th Expansion (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni). Umineko takes place during the early days of October 1986, on a secluded island named Rokkenjima, where 18 people remain trapped by a typhoon. Shortly afterwards, they start to get mysteriously murdered...
