This April is pretty much impossible. Maybe in the summer or (more likely) the autumn season. That is, assuming it begins this year.

I've looked around this before and if I recall the third season will be releasing in October/Fall ish times.

I dunno what to say to the third season IMO. I kinda liked the ending of season 2. Just personal feedback is all, not to mention people say there isn't enough actual storyline, (based on light novels), for the third season.

Sum it all up from me, I like how the company did so far and I'm merely afraid they might pull off something stupid that would ruin the great Shana image I have now.

The female lead bears a remarkable likeness to Shana in looks and personality...like they are almost the same person.

Its a great watch, really, it is.

Ummm, just because this person says "Release Date 2010" doesnt make it fact. I've yet to read any official news anywhere dating the beginning date of the series after the ova. To say 2010 is just speculation (unless someone can provide a source I'm not aware of) It could be sooner, could be later

"Animedia says that the new Shana anime project is to bring the Shakugan no Shana story to an end. But before they can make a 3rd TV series they need to touch on some of the character back stories, so they're doing an OVA first for now."

But indeed, 2010 is still speculation on our part. However it can't possibly be any sooner, for the simple fact that this year's last anime season for TV series has already begun. And there be no Shana.

shana is great, however the revengeful-melancholy-ness + the uselessness of yuuji (yes I do realize he does beat shana half to death, but it wasn't him who is controlling his body) Try to watch zero no Tsukaima, I believe it to be slightly better show with same main voice actor/actress as yoshida kazumi,hecate,yuuji AND shana. watch it whiel you wait for shana 3, you won't regret it

Let's see... If I remember correctly, Shakugan no Shana S shall have a total of 6 episodes/OVAs... The OVAs are released every 1~2 months... So, (it's up to you to think about it)

4 episodes is all there seems to be from the Shana S OVA, actually. So by all accounts it's ending this September, leaving the coast clear for the 3rd TV season.

Like I said, there is a high chance of hit coming out next fall, you have to pay attention to the 2 year pattern with SnS and ZnT. It doesn't mean that it has ended.

and Zig, same here. what i do though is find anime's like Shana to try and pass time. Like Kaze no Stigma or The Familiar of Zero(this one not so much, but its pretty good) I just started SnS a few months ago and just found and finished the OVA. i seriously hope it comes out this year!!!!! what does Shana mean, separated?? didn't Yuuji pick Shana anyway??? Yoshida should just get eaten and then that's the end of her :/

But yeah i don't get what happened at the end of the OVA... What it is insinuating though i don't like at all. I was pretty sure Yuji chose Shana because at the end of the season 2 she was all smiles when she noticed someone coming which i presume is Yuji who else would she smile for? but the OVA insinuates at that point in time they were somehow seperated but I can't even come up with a theory on how they were seperated. when he left he went to forge a contract with the snake of the festival (god of creation ) which was the leader of bal masque before Alastor bansihed him, he forged this contract because the snake promised him a way of putting an end to the war and protect to shana,

yes Zig difference is alastor and the snake are gods of the crimsen realm compared to other flames hazes mentors alastor is the god of atonetment and punishment

where as the snake is the god of creation, and where the ova left off is just before yuji and shana fight

hard to say the snake is just usuing him but yuji knows this and is learning as much as he can while the snake is concious in his body ( possesed sometimes) like unrestricted methods and other stuff just in case the snake turns on him after the snake gets his real body back

since i know what happens up until the last novel, season 3 could be better than season 1 :0 since alot of stuff is explained and alot of stuff happens compared to season 2 which was kinda disapointing

lol thats funny. SnS and ZnT is actually what got me into it all. Don't get me wrong there are lots of good shows but since I started off with 2 of the best it sorta sucks. atm to love ru is my Fav xD its third Anime i watched right after SnS around 1 year ago first i get disappointed of anime coz ended like znt and sns and no continue but it make from an Manga and not a novel like znt and sns and manga was translated ( last chapter come out exactly the day i end anime xD) so i read that all . and now second season come and cover all first manga and its 6 month that a new Manga that continue first one Start and come like 37-57 page each month i just afraid it get ban coz of all it's Ecchiness >< i recommend this anime to anyone who didn't Watch it yet xD

lol hell yeah. Kaze no Stigma was amazing i loved it. The reason i like those 4 shows we have mentioned is because the main male characters are not pathetic. I definitely suggest Hakuouki and Kaze no Stigma is awesome to i have to agree with you on that. And yeah that why i dropped FB lol But yeah i watched like 5 episode off To Love-Ru and it looked alright but the reason i didn't continue is because i was looking for something a bit more dramatic and also with a better lead male. thats my main problem with a lot of shows is the indecisive and powerless males. ShanaFan,i think that the rumors about SnS season 3 this year is true since the OVA series and Shakugan no Shana S is already done and some rumors also says that it will be the last season for SnS(not sure though).

I hope that they will start to work for ZnT 4 immediately after they finished SnS 3

The thing is i really doubt it would be a rumor. SnS is one of the most popular anime shows that people watch. Don't get me wrong i enjoy bleach and naruto but those are definitely the two shows that are the most popular around the world. But i would bet that SnS is in the top 20 atleast. so I would bet my life that there will be another season.

SPOILER: lol oh man i completely agree. To be perfectly honest Saito is one of the best male leads in anime shows i have ever watched. Another couple good ones was the male leads in Clannad and Kanon. And those are probably one of the best shows i ever seen. The story plot and everything about them are awesome. And for me if the male character is weak i just start getting pissed off around half way through the show. lol ill find myself grinding my teeth and thinking what guy would do this?

JOSHUA: yeah that is my main problem with Bleach and Naruto is the fillers. But Naruto is better than Bleach because bleach is so freaking repetitive. IDK if you are update on the manga every week but that show repeats itself over and over again. Naruto's plot is much better and since it is such a big and long plot when it comes to the end it will be epic. Or atleast i hope it will be ha.

Another thing i am kind of sick of is i feel like every anime show has the girl being stronger. And not just in personality but if it was a show with any sort of action or super powers or anything like that, alot of times there is this weak and puny guy that is being saved by a girl that loves him. I hate that so much. I wish i could write a story for a show it would be amazing lol.
But Joshua you should check out Buso Renkin. It was really good, it had decent action, good characters, and an awesome story. very good ending to.

I am not saying every male lead should be exactly llike Saito but overall more guys in anime shows should be strong willed, decisive, (not indecisive cuz as a guy i kno that dudes are not ones to be indecisive about much of anything... maybe what to eat a hamburger or a hotdog) they should also have the strength to protect the girl they love and not be protected by them. Its just shameful to let a girl protect a guy lol. There isn't many good male leads but the shows that have a good one always end up being the best. Good examples are Kanon, Clannad, Tsubusa Chronicles, Buso Renkin, ZnT. There are others but those are some of my favorites.

supposdely this happened with that bremin ( heard him referenced in the series but don't know much about him think he is the guy who start this void thing) he done it while he was trying to summon a fourth void familair as he had already summoned a gandalfr a windalfr and a brain of god

but because he was in love with gandalfr (sasha)when he made his fourth summoned sasha his love (gandlafr) at the time

there is ment to be picture of saito with runes across his chest in a novel

tiffas familair was ment to have the heart of god since she was albions void mage and each country has a void mage and void familair each, an supposdley one is destiny and the other is love so he was summoned as ganldfr as destiny and summoned as heart of god through love

Yo Zig!wazzup?I just finished watching Kanon 2006 and EF: a tale of memories, man those animes were REALLY GOOD!I mean,it almost made me cry especially Kanon 2006.So far they're the best romantic and dramatic animes that i've watched.Thanks for recommending it man.

DUDE! I am so glad you watched those even though there isn't any action in them. I knew you would love them, Even after watching all the shows i have watched I still consider those 2 shows to be in my top 5. And I know! Kanon was so so sad, but it's one of the only shows I have seen that has an amazing beginning, middle, and end. Same with Ef: A Tale of Memories.

Ahhhh you know I tried watching A Tale of Melodies but it was to messed up I stopped 3/4 the way through i just thought that it was just to psychotic and really messed up. It like sickened me lol

Well it's not really that messed up but I felt unsatisfied towards the end since it didn't show what happened to Kuze in the end (I mean,the surgery is successful I think but he's not with Mizuki in the end).The ending showed that Himura finally moved on and he's with Mizuki (I don't know if they'll become lovers or friends or father-daughter relationship).

lol idk man what happened to that one girl i was freaked out. And creeped out seriously, it was also just to sad and idk lol it was really messed up to me. You kinda understand me right?

You're right man,it's really kinda creepy (the girl named Amamiya Yuuko) but i felt sad for what happened to her.Just when she's starting to become happy she accidentally died and became an angel both in the first and second season who helped all the characters during their times of trouble.

oh yeah!!! I sorta guessed that might be her. Yeah I definitely felt bad for her and Himura (i think thats the silver haired dude) I liked the first season alot better. I am a sucker for happy endings.

you wanna know what I hate most about watching anime?
Its when you pick a show and you are watching the show... and it turns out to be awesome and then you get to around the last couple episodes and you are thinking... wait there is noway in hell this is going to finish in a few episodes, so when i start thinking along those lines I become agitated and search through the internet to see if there is a second season and what do you know, it either has no release date yet or the creators of the show don't even know if they are going to continue it.... awesome! this has happened to me so many times lol it makes me very mad

I am guessing the third season will have 24 episodes. which is awesome but that means for people other than japan and people that don't read the manga we dont have to just wait for october but we will all have to wait atleast end of december for the whole show to be completed. and idk about everyone else but I won't be watching until it is finished so i can watch it all in one day :)

Only know a small bit about it, its supposedly called zero no tsukamia F and will start on january 2012. As far as light novels i think they are finished not too sure last i checked was saito becoming tifas famailar as well as her famialar would be the heart of god, saito takes both names and all the parts of god exist and thats where i last found upto.

I also beleive the last shana novel is out and this will tell the ending of the story so don't read about it if you don't want to know the ending

Also its said that this will be the last ZNT season as well
