Souten Kouro

Also known as:  Soten Koro, Sotenkoro, New Tale of Three Kingdoms, Beyond the Heavens

The TV anime series Souten Koro is adapted by Madhouse Studios, based on a historical manga originally authored by Hagin Yi. After his death in 1998, illustrator Gonta King continued the story - which, by the way, distinguishes itself from other Three Kingdoms manga / anime adaptations, by focusing on the antagonist Cao Cao, instead of the more traditional hero Liu Bei.
