The TV anime series Seikon no Qwaser was adapted by Hoods Entertainment, based on a manga authored / drawn by Hiroyuki Yoshino and Kenetsu Satou (Mai-HiME, Mai-Otome), with the titular "qwaser" denoting a manipulator of the element of iron. The original work is famed for its abundance of fan service, and the anime version will make no exception either. The story takes place at the St. Mihailov Academy, a Japanese Eastern Orthodox school, and draws heavily on religious references from the aforementioned religion. The action quickly turns into an all-out war between the Church itself and the so-called "Adepts", a sect of individuals wielding powers linked to the elements of chemistry.
