The TV anime series Queen's Blade is based on the fantasy combat picture book games of the same title, in which players simulate turn-based fighting with books that each represent a character. The fantasy action / ecchi anime version is created by studio ARMS and produced by GENCO. The first season aired in Japan from spring 2009, and this second season - titled Queen's Blade: Gyokuza no Tsugumono - followed from autumn 2009.
