TO is a 3D CG anime film project based on the 2001 Nights sci-fi manga, produced by Avex and directed by Fumihiko Sori (Vexille director, Appleseed producer). The anime project comprises two stories - "Symbiotic Planet" and "Elliptical Orbit" - covering a centuries-long narrative about mankind's voyages into space. Both were released in Japan as DVD rentals on October 2, 2009, with the retail DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions following on December 18, 2009.
