Also known as:  Marvel Anime: Wolverine, Wolverine Anime
Release date:
The TV anime series Wolverine continues the four-part Marvel Anime project created by studio Madhouse for the Southeast Asian market, which began in 2010 with the Iron Man anime. The story will be loosely based on the Wolverine miniseries that was set in Japan, by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller from the early 1980s. In it, Wolverine goes to Japan in search for Mariko - a whoman with whom he fell in love while in New York, and who suddenly disappeared. As it turns out, she was brought back to Japan by her father Yashida Shingen, who keeps her at his mansion. As the head of a Yakuza organization, Shingen wants Mariko to marry an influential person, in order to forge a convenient political alliance. Logan attempts an attack on the mansion, but during it, he gets hit by a poisoned needle that weakens his abilities, and is defeated in duel by Shingen. Left for dead, Logan is eventually discovered by the mysterious Yukio, who helps him recover and joins him as they take another shot at bringing down Shingen.

Since Iron Man have 12 episodes currently aired for October, I say that Wolverine will premiere in January 2011 to succeed Iron Man.
