The anime project Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito (Akito the Exiled) is created by studio Sunrise, with a side-story set in a.t.b.2017, on the European warfront. A Knightmare unit made of boys and girls from Zone Eleven are thrown into a military operation with a 5% chance of survival. They must rescue an allied unit left behind on the European warfront. (based on ANN synopsis)

I looked around the webs, and I'm not so sure about that release date of January 27 anymore... But either way, since it's an OVA releasing for home video, you probably won't be able to watch it online - not legally anyway.

It hasn't actually been released on the 27th, and the official website doesn't seem to give any specific release date. So just a vague "2012" for now...

Looks like I've been missing out on quite a few Code Geass news lately, so here are some quick database updates:

- Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito (OVA?) - premieres in Summer 2012

- Code Geass: Nunnally in Wonderland (OVA) - releases on July 27, 2012

- Code Geass Movie - an anime film project that will adapt the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion story
