The TV anime series Highschool of the Dead is adapted by studio Madhouse, based on a supernatual thriller manga authored by Daisuke Satou and illustrated by Shoji Sato. In the original story, the world is overtaken by a deadly disease that turns humans into zombies. In Japan, several students of Fujimi High School, and the school nurse, band together to survive the present apocalypse. The story follows Takashi Komuro, one of the students who survived in the initial outbreak. (based on Wikipedia synopsis)

The anime began on July, 5th. A preview based on first episode will be scheduled tomorrow on AT-X.
