Also known as: Blood of the Reprimanded Hound, True Blood The anime adaptation Togainu no Chi is based on a boys-love eroge originally released in 2005 by Nitroplus' branch Nitro+CHiRAL, about a post-apocalyptic street fighter named Akira. He is the young champion of a street fighting tournament called Bl@ster, and is suddenly arrested for a crime he didn't commit. He makes a deal with a mysterious woman to get out of prison on one condition: to defeat the strongest man, the Il-Re, in a deadly game called Igura, which is taking place under the rule of a drug ring in the abandoned remains of Tokyo. For this one it's technically October 8, since the Japanese often list airing dates as "October 7, 25:45" or something, past midnight (and definitely "past midnight" in the Western timezones). |
