After fighting with Hamyuts ever since the Silver Smoke incident, the young Armed Librarian, Volken, steals the war-machine of the past, Ylucklucu, and escapes the Bantorra Library. Mirepoc, who joined in the same class as Volken, who was her closest friend, cannot shake the uneasiness she feels over this. The only clue left behind is the name of a famous man, Lascall Othello. Mirepoc vehemently defends his innocence, but eventually comes to realize that he is indeed guilty...
