Hoshizora no Memoria is a school themed eroge developed by Favorite (formerly Crossnet), initially released in early 2009 and later expanded with a fan disc subtitled Eternal Heart. The game's protagonist is moving back into his hometown for the first time in several years. He meets a mysterious girl wielding a scythe, who resembles his old friend. She introduces herself as Mare the Grim Reaper, a shinigami. Both of them like looking at the stars, so they often meet at the observatory. The protagonist is also part of an astronomy club that's not officially recognized at his school, due to low membership, so together with its few other members they come up with plans to enroll new recruits.
