Love Plus follows in the footsteps of Konami's line of dating sims, and its prolific Tokimeki Memorial franchise in particular. The game became an instant success, fueled by the too-good-to-be-true features promised by Konami. In it, players can court any of three girls, trying to get them to fall in love. That's where most dating sims end - Love Plus is just getting started. In June 2010, a new version titled Love Plus + was released, adding even more content - such as field trips, fitness modes, sick days, and new ways to interact with your girls. In December 2011, Konami released the 3DS version New LovePlus.
