The 2D fighting game BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is the sequel to the previous year's BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, once again developed by Arc System Works (of Guilty Gear fame). Similarly, it was also released for the arcades initially, and later ported on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, with a North American release handled by Aksys Games. Additional versions for even more consoles followed throughout 2012. The game's opening animation was created by the anime studio Gonzo, as they did with Calamity Trigger.
