The PS3 game Hyperdimension Neptunia (Choujigen Game Neptune) is developed by Compile Heart and published by Sega, with a production committee that also includes Gust, Nippon Ichi Software and Idea Factory. The game takes place in a fictional world called Geimugyokai (game industry), which has two realms. The realm of gods has 4 floating continents with 4 goddesses representating console hardware. The goddesses are in constant dispute and competition over who is superior, so they decide to engage a console war to determine who is the fairest. Players take on the role of Neptune, a personified (and fictional) video game console turned into a girl, on a quest to defeat the "Goddess Majicon" and fight against piracy.
