The visual novel game Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni is created by 07th Expansion (Higurashi, Umineko), based on Ryukishi07's horror manga of the same title that debuted in 2010. The story revolves around a series of Japanese horror tales that have been passed down from generation to generation as the "Seven Mysteries of [Japanese] Schools". However, there is an eighth mystery called "Mesomeso-san", for which the manga offers a new retelling. (based on ANN synopsis)
