Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope takes place a few hundred years before the first Star Ocean game. With a more team-oriented battle system featuring 4 party members, the game has a more sci-fi theme than past titles, with the ability to control your own ship - which is able to land on at least 5 planets or other space-based destinations. The hero's name is Edge Maverick, while the heroine is named Reimi Saionji.
