Rune Factory 4 is once again developed by Neverland Co. and published by Marvelous Entertainment, as the sixth game in the Rune Factory series (an offshoot from the Harvest Moon series), and the first one to be released on the Nintendo 3DS. Rune Factory 4 gives you the option of a male or female lead character: prince Lest and princess Frey. Regardless of this choice, players use the so-called "Prince System", in order to build up the city of Selphia and make it an attractive spot for tourists.
