I'm kind of used to anime being nominated for Oscar, Emmy, or various other awards, and not winning. I think it's actually a state law. This year,
Afro Samurai: Resurrection has a shot at the "Outstanding Animated Program Award", its only competitor being Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Destination Imagination.

While any sane human being on this planet would obviously choose Afro Samurai as a winner by far, I DO have my doubts in this matter. People should remember at least the "recently"
Paprika Oscar would-be
nomination, when Cars shamelessly won the award, despite the fact that it sucks an incredible amount of ass.
If you still believe in justice and Loli Jesus though, stay tuned for the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 20. Thanks
Anime Vice for the scoop.
