Well, since this is my first sober input on Animekon, I'll make it a bit more serious. Chotto. And since it also involves vectors, pay attention, s'il vous plait (do notice my exquisite French).

Earlier today, my pedo comrade received a dubious mail (well, at first we thought it was just a lousy "increase the size of your Johnny" spam thing), regarding a soon-to-be Elfen Lied music box, which, let's all be honest here, would be the second best thing to happen in this world after reducing the age of consent to 12. Elfen Lied? Music box? One of the songs that thoroughly (and quite frustratingly) managed to cut deep wounds in my tiny little brain, making me mumble it at work, in pubs, while having sex (with others than with myself)? YES PLEASE!

The problem is, this is still a project. A Japanese music box manufacturer, called Sankyo has agreed to create one from scratch, but it seems they need a starting (one time) fee of 670 USD. After that, obviously, once they finish the prototype and start spitting them on the market, an Elfen Lied music box will be priced somewhere around 7 USD. Per piece. And if you don't have too many kids laying around the house, trashing the place and everything else that gets in their way, one of these things should last you quite a while. Maybe even a loli's lifetime.

This was the TLDR version. For those of you who are interested in finding out more stuff about aiding the project, this link should provide way more info than I can muster under these... sober circumstances. Hell, even my Night Elf Druid called Lilium (coincidence? I think not) agrees with this. And obviously, so do I.

[random thought] - "mechanical movement that plays Lilium" - my Druid is played by a machine. Share with me these buckets of tears.

I would like to add that the "Lilium Project" is for the mechanical mechanism itself right now, NOT the entire box. We still have to work out license agreements for the entire box, so the mechanical mechanism that plays the music in a music box will cost around $7 USD. Just for clarification purposes. Still a great cause, however!

how can you be sure this isn't a rip off?

Well I contacted the same company a loooong time ago in search for a lilium box and a few days ago they sent me this mail:

Hello,

Please let me allow to contact you again to see if you would
be interested in our "Lilium Project".
We are trying to develop this melody on a large movement of
23-Note or 30-Note to play approximately 30 seconds instead
of 15 seconds of current 18-Note.
I am getting a lot of mails from the people in many different
countries on this music box from the Japanese Anime, and
someone in U.S. is trying to organize this idea to see if it is
possible for us to work together and come up with the
music box playing Elfen Lied in much better music performance.
If you are interested in this "Lilium Project", you are welcome to
contact Jarrod Pierce at liliumbox@gmail.com.

It seems legit to me if he has the company backing him, also for the time he will have to put in it 600$ would be meager profit.
And if it turns out to be a scam he will be lynched -.- because I want that damn box

Lol, at the whole second best to consent comment xD
(though i would say 11)

I would definitly get one of these boxes, 100%. Especially if its like 7USD!! Thats like £5 right? I can play the tune on Piano, and hearing the opening theme of Elfen Lied still makes me cry at times :'] (though that's for other reasons).
Thank you for the News ;)

Once again, it would be the mechanical mechanisms available for $7 USD, not the entire box itself. I still have to work through a lot of licensing red-tape to get the entire box made, but for now I've got a "limited license agreement" for the mechanical movements that play "Lilium". These can be used in other music boxes, built into projects of your own, or attached to anything resonant (like a simple piece of wood), and you'll be able to hear the sweet, melancholy tone of "Lilium". If you have any questions about this feel free to e-mail me at liliumbox@gmail.com

What a coincidence, I was listening to both Lilium, music box song, and some really creepy song from the OST, on my drive this morning. I like Lilium so much I set it as my ringtone. I have gotten compliments about from people who no nothing about anime. Anyway this would be a great thing to happen.

I would also like to show my support for lowering the age of consent.

I would just like to say that if anyone has any way to get a hold of the person running the project, please tell him to get off of his ass! He's been seriously neglecting his patrons!
