Don't take it from us, nor from San'plex where I've just spotted this one. Oh no, take it from 2ch - the ultimate authority in anonymous studies of unquestionable shadiness, reaching mind-boggling complexity at times. And this one makes no exception. By compiling all sorts of data based on user activity around 2ch, and factoring in each anime's "Amazon rank, Mixi connections, blog hits and so on", a Top 10 for the Summer 2009 anime season has been determined.



Whether you like it or not, the top-most position is held by Bakemonogatari, studio Shaft's adaptation of the supernatural comedy novels signed by NisiOisiN, which aired in Japan from July 3 until last Friday. As for the other titles that make up this definitive Top 10, well, here goes.



Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Umineko and Canaan barely missed that list, coming in at numbers 11, 12 and 13 respectively. The full study ranks a total of 34 titles, by the way. And I dare you decypher all those moonrunes!... While I go do my WoW dailies and queue up some torrents.

I was a Bakemonogatari watcher, the moment it was subbed ;3 not surprised, its a great anime i think. Very different.

Not surprised at Zetsubou Sensei, although i didnt think it was as good as past series.

I am surprised at Haruhi not being higher :O although i havent watched it yet, maybe it wasnt up to expectations.

I'm a little disappointed with 2nd season of Haruhi.
You will get interested in the first 2 episodes. The next 7 episodes will almost be the same as a second episode, with few changes (That's what endless eight means).
The rest of episodes are quite fun.

Btw. Does anyone know what is Kyon's full name? ^^
