For a Nintendo DS game that's only been out in Japan since last month, yeah, I'd say that's pretty damn impressive. But then again, so was the hype surrounding its launch, fueled by the too-good-to-be-true
features promised by Konami. As a result,
Love Plus had already sold over
46,000 copies during its first week of shelf life. And by now, that number has broken through the
100,000 barrier.
Update: Gah, turns out that Sankaku is bending the facts once again. Those would be 100,000 units
shipped, not sold. Not yet. According to Famitsu, the sales figure is curently at about 81,000 copies (cheers
Zepy).

Clearly, the folks from Komami know what they're doing. After all, they've been perfecting the dating sim genre for... oh, just about 15 years, with their prolific Tokimeki Memorial franchise. Speaking of which!...
Tokimeki Memorial 4 was
announced last month for the PSP, making it the first portable game in the series. This latest sequel will pack 9 heroines, and it should be released in Japan on December 3, 2009. Fans will surely find the wait quite enjoyable, with the open-ended Love Plus at hand.

Also last month, a new TokiMemo OVA was announced by Konami at the Tokyo Game Show. Titled
Hajimari no Finder (The First Finder), the anime will be bundled with the game's "Complete Set" edition that's coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray this December 3, though it will also be available separately. The official
website was updated today with the first tiny pics that you can see above, and below we yanked the OVA's synopsis from
ANN.
"Hajimari no Finder depicts the first day of school at Kirameki High and the day's ceremony, during which the viewers can see the heroines of the game before "meeting" them while playing the game. The anime takes the form of interview footage taken by video camera of each important student."
