Dated
and titled, it would appear. I've been wondering what these anime would be called (e.g. simply Wolverine, or Wolverine Anime, or Wolverine: Something Else), and Marvel has finally set the record straight. In its recent financial
report (via
ANN), the Disney-pwned comics giant issued a list of release dates for its licensed projects, which includes the 2 upcoming anime (or 3 if you count Planet Hulk).
Marvel Anime: Iron Man and
Marvel Anime: Wolverine, as they are listed, will begin airing on Japan's Animax channel in Q2 and Q3 2010, respectively. Or in layman's terms, Iron Man will start in April 2010, and Wolverine in July 2010.
Both of them are created by Madhouse, both will be running for 12 episodes of standard length (30 minutes), and both are scheduled to launch in the U.S. during 2011. Fail-dubs actually take a while to record, you know!
As for the
Planet Hulk animation film, production on it is complete by now, and it should be released in February 2010.
