Three more solid weeks is all that remains until the May 26 release of
Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (Not) Advance on Blu-ray and DVD, over in Japan. While some of us have yet to take a real interest in this whole
"Rebuild of Evangelion" thingie, the producers can rest at ease, knowing that over 800,000 fans are interested enough to have pre-ordered the latest anime film's extra-special edition - now with 2.22% more (fewer?)
deleted scenes.

ANN's
report tonight quotes some random Japanese newspaper, who in turn attributes the 800,000 pre-orders estimation to King Records - the film's home video distributor in Japan. That's an insane number any way you look at it, considering that the film's initial "2.0" edition had premiered almost a year ago. The hype is strong with this one!
As a redundant reminder, this film quadrilogy grouped under the "Rebuild of Evangelion" moniker is still in its first half, as two more anime films remain:
Evangelion: 3.0 and
Evangelion: 4.0. Both of which have yet to receive an official title and premiere date. That is, not counting the next film's totally useless codename, "Quickening".
