Hardly a shocker, this one. The ongoing TV anime series
Fairy Tail is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon, as a second year of airing is being confirmed in the next issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. With this, the anime will be entering the "Nirvana" story arc from Hiro Mashima's shounen action manga on which the anime is based.

The new chapter will also introduce some additional characters, along with their respective seiyuus - most notably a cute loli named
Wendy Marvell (a tiny gallery is up, by the way), to be voiced by Satomi Satou (
K-ON!'s Ritsu). The other newcomers will be Hibiki, Charle, Ren and Eve, and you can check their assigned voice actors over on
ANN if such is your interest in this series.
Although it's still not a serious challenge for the holy shounen trinity -
Naruto,
Bleach and
One Piece - Fairy Tail seems to be doing well enough, and it's also been gaining some animation quality as the series marches on. For those who've been following it, tomorrow will bring episode 46, and as usual
Crunchyroll will be streaming it for 30 days, before removing it and leaving late-coming fans to... improvise.
