The king of harem games is dead, long live the king! Not even
Koihime Musou's exotic cast of nearly 30 curvaceous and flat-chested characters can compare with the overwhelming harem teased by an upcoming PSP game called
AKB1/48 Idol to Koishitara - alternatively spelled AKB 1/48 Idol to Ai Shitara, or AKB1/48 If I Loved an Idol. Featuring all 48 (real-life) members of the idol group AKB48, this one will be hard to beat, as far as quantinty goes.

Quality-wise, on the other hand, we can only speculate for the time being, based on the images offered by the game's publisher Namco Bandai and reproduced all over here. They are promoting it as the "ultimate dating fantasy game", and also the first official video game for the all-female idol group AKB48 - featuring not only their cute faces and voices, but also their kisses (printed out in pink on stickers, with the game's two
most expensive versions).
Other titillating features will be the inclusion of over 10,000 photos of the girls, about 80 minutes of video in which they confess their love to the player, and fully voiced dialogues. In return, players will simply have to pick one of them to devote their full attention, and dump the other 47 girls. An arduous task, if there ever was one!
AKB1/48 Idol to Koishitara will be released on December 23, 2010 in no less than 4 different editions, priced between
5,229 yen and 36,729 yen. The main reason for the latter's huge price tag is the inclusion of a special
"PSP-3000AKB" handheld, pink of course, and complete with 48 battery covers for all their "kiss marks". A certain comrade willing to kill for one of those pink PSP's comes to mind... though he hasn't been posting around here since the last ice age.

website. And now, let there be more pics!
