Chances of a new
Kimi ni Todoke anime have suddenly soared through the roof, following a particular comment made by director Seiji Mizushima about his fellow assistant director Kenji Nagasaki. The latter's absence from the public light was explained by him being
"busy with Kimi ni Todoke... He's now putting all his efforts into drawing the storyboards" (via
ANN).

Mizushima made that comment yesterday, during a web program that was streamed live (
recording here), in sync with the TV re-airing of the compilation special
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Special Edition (which recaps the first
Gundam 00 TV anime season). This broadcast comes shortly before the
Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Movie's Japanese premiere, set for this Saturday, September 18.
Incidentally, a live-action movie version of Kimi no Todoke is also about to premiere in Japan, this September 25. You can check its official
website for
trailers and stuff, while praying that the aforementioned storyboards will be turned into a second TV anime season.
