Studio Madhouse is just about ready to premiere its latest anime film Redline in Japan, this October 9, some five years after it began working on this furious sci-fi racing feature (which at one point last year seemed to have been cancelled). As proof of the project's well-being, the studio has been revealing a whole bunch of Redline trailers recently, with the latest ones also added locally today.

Over on the other side of the world, Viz Cinema has just announced its own premiere for Redline in the U.S., in the same week as the Japanese debut - albeit on a much smaller scale. The San Francisco-based theater will screen the anime film between October 8 and October 14 (for one week only), with tickets priced at $10 sharp.

Redline was already screened at various film festivals in various countries. And, in fact, it's also being shown today in Austin, Texas at the Fantastic Fest (and again on September 29 there). Or, if you're just interested in Viz Cinema's screening, you'll find updated showtimes and a tickets-buying link in the October 2010 section from the official Viz Cinema / New People website.
