A
Holy Knight OVA adaptation was
announced to be in the making, as the first anime project created by Cammot (whoever they are), based on Maya Miyazaki's vampire-hunting manga. As summarized on ANN,
"the "dramatic school (romantic) fantasy" centers around an ordinary orphan named Mizumura, who goes to a missionary school in Tokyo. His seemingly normal life changes when a beautiful half-Romanian girl named Lilith suddenly transfers into his school. This timid boy is actually a vampire hunter and the successor of the Romyuarudo lineage". No release date yet, but it sure looks
promising...

A
Brave10 TV anime series is in the works, based on Kairi Shimotsuki's manga sequel Brave10 S (Spiral).
"The story reimagines the legendary adventures of the 10 brave warriors assembled by the warlord Sanada Yukimura in the year 1600, in the middle of Japan's tumultuous Sengoku (Warring States) era",
ANN explains, though without mentioning a release date at this time.

A
High Score TV anime series is likewise in the works without a release date yet. This one is based on Chinami Tsuyama's "high-speed" four-panel gag comedy manga, whose shoujo-oriented story follows the misadventures of some nonsensical high school students.

A new director has been
hired for Warner Bros.' planned
Akira live-action remake. He is Jaume Collet-Serra ("Orphan", "Unknown"), and the movie's budget is reportedly being cut down to $90 million - all this after Keanu Reeves seems to have already bailed out from the lead role of Kaneda. Good luck with that, ha!

An innevitable
new Doraemon anime film was announced to premiere in Japan at some point in March 2012, and with said news also came the movie's first
trailer. From what
ANN writes, it will be titled Doraemon: Nobita to Kiseki no Shima - Animal Adventure, and features Doraemon, Dorami and Nobita traveling to a "last paradise" when extinct animals were still alive. The movie also celebrates 100 years...
before the birth of Doraemon: in the original story, Doraemon was created on September 3, 2112.

A couple more
Seitokai Yakuindomo OVA episodes are on the way, to be released on DVD this November 17 (bundled with the 6th manga volume) and in April 2012 respectively. The
report also hints that the 7th manga volume will have "some kind of enjoyable project" planned for July 2012... And of course July is a typical month for new TV anime series, so...

The start of the upcoming TV anime series
Chihayafuru has been
set for this October 4, and some staff members' names were also made public. The anime is being created by studio Madhouse, based on Yuki Suetsugu's women's manga about a girl competing in the traditional Japanese card game of karuta.

Shit... Noboru Yamaguchi
has cancer, and it's in an advanced stage... He is best known for authoring the
Zero no Tsukaima light novels that
spawned three TV anime series between 2006-2008 (as well as manga and game adaptations), featuring a most recognizable pink-haired tsundere loli,
Louise. Things are looking relatively good though, as his cancer seems to be in remission, and he plans to have surgery early next month. If all goes well, he may yet end his novel series with a couple more volumes. Ganbatte!
