Squid Girl 2nd Season Visuals

From Natalie, with love, come some early illustrations for the upcoming second season of Squid Girl, crafted by the original manga's creator Masahiro Anbe. The new TV anime series - titled Shinryaku!? Ika Musume (notice the extra wtf-question-mark) - will start airing in Japan from October 2011.

Like the first season that aired last autumn, this, too, is being worked on by studio Diomedea, based on Masahiro Anbe's manga otherwise known as Invasion! Squid Girl. The comedy centers arounds a squid girl who vows to invade the beaches of mankind since humans have polluted the seas. However, her invasion is less than successful, and she ends up on dry ground.
