Before I get down to the boring stuff (more or less), let me just point out the latest pick for Animekon's "loli of the month" -
Rin Kaga, the silent 6-year-old girl from the TV anime series
Usagi Drop (Bunny Drop), which began airing in Japan and simulcasting on Crunchyroll close to a month ago. And if this isn't cute enough for you, then... hell, go hug a
Chiyo-chan dakimakura or something! But first, be a good papa and
vote for her loliness...

Although the new
Hunter x Hunter TV anime series was silently added to the local database last week, it's only now that we get a few more details about it, enough to fill a few lines. So, according to the latest
reports, the anime is in the works at studio Madhouse, naturally based on Yoshihiro Togashi's fantasy manga. It will start airing this October 2, and apparently it will be a remake of the original series that retells the manga's story from the beginning (pretty much ignoring all previous OVA adaptations and the 1999 TV series).

Also
starting in October is
Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi's 2nd season, previously
revealed just a few days ago, alongside another boys-love anime adaptation, based on another manga by that same author, Shungiku Nakamura - namely
Hybrid Child. The latter, though, is still missing a release timeframe and format...

And finally, CR picked up some incoherent
speculations about studio Ghibli's next anime film project. Nothing solid about it whatsoever, just that it will most likely
not be a fantasy movie, but more along the lines of
Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (From Kokuriko Hill) - which premiered last month in Japan. So not much to see here, move along...
Update: With
Shakugan no Shana III (Final)'s long-awaited
TV debut getting ever so closer (this October), the original light novel series itself - authored by Yashichiro Takahashi - is also coming to an end
soon: its 22nd - and final - volume is now ready to ship in Japan this September 10. The beginning of the end is almost upon us...
