Doesn't look like the upcoming anime
Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse was mentioned here on Animekon before, so this would be a good time to bring it to your attention. Especially now that its official
website went through a full overhaul over the weekend, bringing a cool new
key visual image, along with confirmation that the TV anime series will begin airing in Japan this summer - so, essentially, from
July 2012.

Another notable addition to the summer line-up is the second
Berserk anime film, titled Berserk Ougon Jidai-Hen II: Doldrey Kouryaku (Berserk Golden Age Arc II: The Battle for Doldrey). From an official Twitter update picked up by
ANN, we learn that the second movie will premiere in Japan on June 23. The first part in this planned trilogy came out earlier this month, on February 4.

And from another official
website update, we also get a fresh look at the upcoming anime series
Hiiro no Kakera and its reworked key visual image - made into a
wallpaper over in the local gallery. This one is starting from April 2012, with a limited pre-airing of its first episode on March 6. The anime is being adapted by Studio Deen, based on the bishounen visual novel games series of the
same title developed by Idea Factory since 2006.

And finally for this anime news round-up (a gaming news "checkpoint" will follow in a bit), the recently announced TV series of anime shorts
Shiba Inuko-san, consisting of two-minute episodes, is
set to air in Japan from April 1. Why should you care?... Well, truth be told, you shouldn't. To be ignored!
