This year's
Upotte!! anime adaptation(s) will consist of not only a web-anime, which was first announced last year, but also an
OVA episode. This one was revealed this week by a
Mangaoh listing (via
MAL) for the Upotte!! manga's 4th volume, which will be bundling the OVA on Blu-ray when it releases in Japan in October 2012.

The "regular" web-anime series Upotte!! will be streaming on the Japanese video service Nico Nico Douga, starting from April 7. Studio Xebec is animating it, based on a 4-panel military school comedy manga by Kitsune Tennouji. The original story, as summarized by ANN, is about
"a newly hired teacher [who] discovers that the female students at his new school all have excellent marksmanship skills - and happen to be anthropomorphized assault rifles".
Oh, and a small
Upotte!! gallery welcomes you locally, as of today. Seeing anything you like?
