The live-action movie adaptation of
Bleach has been a rather dormant project up to now, even though Warner Bros. had acquired the live-action feature rights a couple of years ago or something... But today, at last, a sign of life shines through, thanks to a
Variety report that's bound to bring joy into the hearts of... anyone crazy enough to think that a Hollywood-produced Bleach movie could possibly work out well... Anyone?

Warner Bros. is tasking Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) to write the script based on Tite Kubo's ultra-popular manga, which has over 75 million print copies in circulation, in Japan alone. Peter Segal (Get Smart remake) will produce,
"with an eye toward possibly directing", the report hints, following up with this here comment.
"I've always been a huge fan of "Bleach" and have great respect for its creator Kubo Sensei and the truly original and amazing world he has created in this manga", said Segal.
Additional production companies and names are mentioned in the report, but no point in obsessing too much about the project's details, just yet.
