First Look At Hyouka, KyoAni's New TV Anime

Kyoto Animation's first anime project this year is Hyouka, a TV series based on Honobu Yonezawa's adolescent mystery novel Hyou-ka: You Can't Escape. That much has been known for the past three months, but the novelty today is an early (albeit static) preview of the anime's first episode. To that end, the official Hyouka website is now offering a series of screenshots - also included below - from episode 1.



The anime series will be airing in Japan from April, and needless to say that it's quite an anticipated one, given KyoAni's previous over-hyped school-themed works - most notably Suzumiya Haruhi, Lucky Star and K-ON!. So without further blah-blah, behold the oh-so-tiny screenshots.
