The pretty pic below is just about the only reason I bring this up: a new official
website has just come online, for this summer's Type-Moon 10th Anniversary event. The festival will be held on the 7th and 8th of July, at the Pacifico Yokohama convention center. Nevermind that they actually released their debut eroge,
Tsukihime, in 2000, so their 10th anniversary has been going on for some time...

A live-action film adaptation of Rumic Theater,
Rumiko Takahashi's manga series, is being
announced in this year's 6th issue of Shogakukan's Big Comic Original magazine. The movie is set for a July 2012 premiere in Japan, straight on TV. The original manga recounts short stories about people from all walks of life.
And while on the topic of movie adaptations, the upcoming live-action remake of Oldboy, the one directed by Spike Lee, is being talked about by actress Elizabeth Olsen (Silent House,
Martha Marcy May Marlene), in an
MTV video interview (via
ANN). Or should I say
"not being talked about"... Anyway, the truth is I just needed a filler story to round up this "checkpoint", so there you have it!
