A flat chest is fine, too!

All right, at last! It's been like 27 years since the last proper Lupin III TV anime series, despite several attempts - or at least mixed-up stories - along the way. The latest such confusing news arose one week ago, when it was hinted that a new Lupin III TV anime would start this April. Then things got a bit dodgy... But eventually, last night the official announcement that fans have been waiting for came through: this time, it's the real thing!

Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna

So there is indeed a new series premiering next month, on April 4, according to Mantan Web, and it's called Lupin III: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine). Like the title suggests, this new TV anime will revolve around the character Fujiko Mine - most prominently depicted in the series' key visual image above.

Staff and cast details, for those interested, can be found in ANN's report, along with the following synopsis.
"The series revolves around the character of Fujiko Mine, depicting her and the rest of the Lupin III cast during their younger days. The series will reportedly capture the "sensuality" present in Monkey Punch's original Lupin III manga in its "daring interpretation" of the franchise."
