Moving on to some anime films news, the official website for the upcoming movie Blood-C: The Last Dark has been updated with a pretty cool new artwork and character profiles, plus some more staff and cast names - as relayed by CR. The female character designs, at least, you can also see over in the local gallery; and there's also that earlier trailer... What else? Oh, right: the movie premieres in Japan on June 2, 2012.
The first trailer for the upcoming movie Library War: The Wings of Revolution was posted yesterday on the official website, revealing its Japanese premiere date: June 16, 2012. The anime film is once again created by Production I.G, like the 2008 TV anime series, based on Hiro Arikawa's light novel series about battles fought to preserve libraries.
In other news, manga author Rei Hiroe has recently blogged that he is finally planning on (and scared of) resuming his action manga Black Lagoon, after taking a break for a couple of years. He says: "Though I'm dying to draw, I'm scared to actually draw it. If it were not this hard, I wouldn't have had to take as long as two years off."
And for a bit of gaming news, Sega announced yesterday that their upcoming game Phantasy Star Online 2 is also being developed for the PlayStation Vita, not just the PC. Although the two versions will be played on the same server (and you'll even be able to play the same character on both versions), the PS Vita port is not expected until 2013, while the PC version should be released later this year. The video below marks the announcement, and also shows off some PS Vita gameplay for the first time.
Update: The PS Vita of PSO2 is only about 10% complete, hence some of the rough footage seen in this video for the handheld port.
