Squid Girl OVA Announced

More squiggly squid moe? Yes, please! After two Squid Girl TV anime series in 2010 and 2011, this summer will also bring an OVA adaptation of Masahiro Anbe's manga otherwise known as Shinryaku! Ika Musume. The manga's 12th limited edition volume - out in Japan on August 8 - will bundle this newly announced Squid Girl OVA on DVD.



The news comes from the latest issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shounen Champion magazine (via ANN), and its next issue should bring more details, such as ordering information and stuff.

The original comedy manga centers around a squid girl who vows to invade the beaches of mankind, since humans have polluted the seas. However, her invasion is less than successful, and she ends up on dry ground...
