The official
website of the
Tamayura anime series is announcing that a 2nd season is heading our way. Sounds like a new TV series, to follow last year's TV anime which, in turn, followed the initial OVA from 2010. That was the third "healing anime" directed by Junichi Sato (
Aria,
Umi Monogatari), and created by Hal Film Maker.

The original story's heroine is Fuu Sawatari, a girl who lives in a waterside town near the Seto Inland Sea and likes photography. Details about
Tamayura's 2nd season have not been revealed yet,
but it should be safe to anticipate a 2012 release (my bet is on October). In the meantime,
Tamayura: Hitotose's Blu-ray and DVD volumes continue to be released in Japan, with the final volume (#7) - out on June 27 - set to include the unaired "episode 5.5".
And don't forget that director Junichi Sato had also
announced another new anime project earlier this month, an OVA titled
One Off, planned for a 2012 release.
And finally, you might want to take a look around the local
Tamayura gallery, as it's been updated today with a bunch of pretty pics!
Update: The second season is
planned for 2013.
