A premiere date for the upcoming
Tiger & Bunny anime film has been
revealed by the Warner Mycal Cinemas chain, as being set for September 22, 2012. The initial listing, for the chain's Suzuka theater, has since been taken down, but its Chikushino theater is still
showing it. The
second movie is currently planned for 2013.

The CG comedy anime series
gdgd Fairies will be getting a sequel, it was
announced yesterday at an event that marked the release of the series' third and final Blu-ray volume, and again confirmed today by voice actress Suzuko Mimori on her blog. She played the pkpk fairy, and wrote that she would like to appear in the sequel, as well.

After the 4th and last day of the 2012 Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF), the finalized attendance
numbers show an overall drop of 25%, compared to the number of visitors that attended the event in 2010. There were 24,750 visitors in the first two days (reserved for the press and business), and 74,173 visitors in the last two days (open to the general public). So a total of 98,923 visitors for the entire duration of TAF, compared to 132,492 visitors attending it in 2010.
Disappointing,
indeed...
Update: More
TAF booth babes photos. Disappointing, indeed...
So now it's time to turn our complete attention to this week's
Anime Contents Expo 2012. ACE is the new counter-TAF event that's being held for the first time this year, on March 31 and April 1, at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Center in Chiba. Advance tickets were available up until this past Friday, and
word is that 50,801 such tickets have been sold. Should be fun and
eventful!
