from this past weekend's Anime Contents Expo to reach the Western world, the animation production studio for the upcoming TV anime series Joshiraku
was identified as being J.C. Staff. The anime's official website
was also updated to reflect this announcement, along with this cute new key visual
This TV anime adaptation was revealed in the first days of 2012, as being based on the slice-of-life comedy manga Joshiraku, written by Kouji Kumeta and illustrated by Yasu. The story follows the behind-the-scenes dressing-room conversations of a group of female (joshi) Japanese verbal show (rakugo) performers. They discuss random things and usually reach an unusual or humorous conclusion that's far from the initial discussion topic.
Aside from Joshiraku, studio J.C. Staff's most recent anime project is the Kimi to Boku. 2
(You and Me. 2) sequel, which began airing yesterday in Japan. And from the recently finished Winter anime season, they were responsible for no less than three TV series: Ano Natsu de Matteru
