Mirai Nikki Anime's "Next Project" Announced

The TV anime series Mirai Nikki, also known as The Future Diary, came to an end in Japan yesterday with episode 26. But the franchise goes on, as the final episode faded out to the announcement of a "next project" being launched. Just what kind of (anime?) project, there's no way of knowing yet.



For the time being, this Saturday will see the debut of a live-action TV series adaptation titled Mirai Nikki - Another:World. Previously, the franchise spawned a 2010 OVA animated by studio Asread, same as with the TV anime. The source material in all cases is a manga series by Sakae Esuno.
